Theatre Camp with TKIDS

THEATRE CAMP with The Kick & Push Festival
Summer Drama Camps 2016:

COK-logo_bw_2[1].75inkick&push-logoThis summer, the City of Kingston and The Kick & Push Festival are working together to offer the city’s premiere summer drama program for kids in Kingston. The program was so successful last year that we have extended the camp this summer to 9 weeks to fill the whole summer!  Be sure to register soon as almost every one of last summer’s sessions had a waiting list.

We are so thrilled to be able to build on our existing success over the last few years and to provide these enhancements this summer:

STAFFING:  Camp staff all have a background in theatre and education and receive two weeks of specialized drama education training with professional artists prior to our summer program.

VENUE:  The Grand Theatre is a state-of-the-art fully air-conditioned theatre venue where the kids will be able to experience working in a ‘true’ theatrical environment.

HOURS OF OPERATION:  THEATRE CAMP with The Kick & Push Festival offers extended hours running from 8am until 5:30pmparents can automatically sign up at the time of registration.

OPTIONS:  Over the 9 weeks of the summer, THEATRE CAMP will offer a variety of 2 week (ages 9-12) and 1 week sessions (6-9) where kids are assured of working with children in their own age group.

AFFORDABILITY:  THEATRE CAMP is one of the most inexpensive arts camps in the City and eligible families can now access the PRO-KIDS or SPARK subsidy at time of registration.

Camp information will be viewable online on Monday March 16th, at https://onlineca.activecommunities.com/Kingston/Activities/ActivitiesAdvSearch.asp
(under “Children’s Programs”, click “Summer Camps” and scroll down the list)

Registration starts on Wednesday March 23rd at 6pm.  Registrations can be completed online at the address above, or in person at the Artillery Park Aquatic Centre or INVISTA Centre front desks.
